English Smocking for Beginners — November 11

Discover the timeless art of English smocking in this beginner-friendly class designed to teach the fundamentals of this beautiful heirloom sewing technique. You will learn how to prepare and pleat fabric, create the essential hand stitches, read a smocking plate, and understand the tools and materials you need to get started.

Whether you are interested in making heirloom garments, special gifts, or simply expanding your sewing skills, this class gives you a solid foundation and the confidence to begin.

This is hand work rather than machine work, so there is no sewing machine to bring and nothing to wrestle. Just a quiet afternoon learning something people have been doing beautifully for a very long time.

What to bring: scissors. That is genuinely all — the kit is included in your class fee.

Skill level: Complete beginner. No smocking or hand-sewing experience needed.

Registration & Cancellation

Seats are limited to 6 so everyone gets hands-on time, and we need at least 3 registered for a class to run. Your seat is confirmed once payment is received.

To cancel, call the shop at 501-205-1975 during business hours or email create@seamssewcrazy.com. Notice is counted from when we receive your call or email — please don't cancel through social media, since we may not see it in time.

• 7+ days before class — full refund to your original payment method.
• Fewer than 7 days — store credit for the full amount, good on anything in the shop. You're also welcome to send someone in your place; just call and give us their name.
• No-shows without notice are not eligible for a refund or credit.
• If we cancel for low enrollment or weather — full refund, or move your seat to the next session, your choice.
• If a class fills, call and ask to be added to the waiting list. When we have three waiting, we add a second session.
